We are bringing to life a unique and exciting project in Sweden—a café and bakery whose architecture is inspired by the rich history of Tungelsta. The area`s historic laundries and greenhouses have played a significant role in shaping the local heritage, a legacy that is thoughtfully woven into the building’s design.
A standout feature of the structure is its glass surfaces, both on the walls and roof, creating a greenhouse-like ambiance while seamlessly integrating with the traditional wooden architecture. One of the most challenging aspects was constructing the #glulam load-bearing structures. However, thanks to the precision and expertise of Timbeco’s designers, the installation process turned into a fascinating and meticulous feat of engineering. #prefab #elementbuilding #offsiteconstruction
In January, our Head of Design, Aili Animägi, had the pleasure of joining the kick-off meeting for the #RENOMIZE project in the beautiful city of Klagenfurt, Austria. 🌍✨
This exciting initiative is set to revolutionize prefabricated renovation systems, making them more efficient, sustainable, and practical—tackling some of the biggest challenges in building renovation.
The three-day session was highly productive, providing a deep dive into project work packages, fostering collaboration on key strategies, and setting the stage for the next steps. Looking forward to seeing the impact of this project unfold! 🚀

@1partnerkinnisvara is undertaking the construction of an extension to the Rapla kindergarten “Pääsupikk,” with a total project cost of nearly 3 million euros.
The new two-story extension will add 1,506 m² of modern, functional space and is scheduled for completion in October 2025. Designed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind, the environmentally friendly building will feature prefabricated wooden elements, underfloor heating, and a heat recovery ventilation system, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate while minimizing energy consumption.
The project is commissioned by the Rapla City Government, with a total budget of 2,951,543 euros (including VAT). Renowned architectural firm @projekt_kuubis is responsible for the design, while Nord Projekt is handling the technical engineering. Timbeco is the key partner for manufacturing and supplying the prefabricated wooden elements.
Building with prefabricated wooden elements offers several advantages, including significantly reduced construction time on-site, as the elements are pre-assembled in a controlled factory environment, ensuring high quality and precision. Additionally, wooden construction is more sustainable compared to traditional methods, as wood is a renewable resource that sequesters carbon during its growth, contributing to lower overall carbon emissions for the project.
By employing modern element-building technology, the Rapla kindergarten extension highlights the growing trend toward innovative, eco-friendly, and efficient construction solutions in Estonia.
