The Green Tiger program officially ended this week. Among the participants were the State Chancellery, Ekspress Meedia, Tori Parish, Enterprise Estonia, SK ID Solutions, Timbeco, Maru Ehitus, Barrus, Hausers, Thermory, Reform Party and Jolos.
Green Tiger is a multidisciplinary cooperation platform whose purpose is to create a balanced economic model for Estonia and the world. Green Tiger has partners across four strands: entrepreneurs, individuals, the public sector and the civic sector.
Four universities participated in compiling the program – TalTech, Tallinn University, Estonian Academy of Arts and Estonian Business School.
Markus Vihma, one of the leaders of the Green Tiger Academy, said that it is possible to manage to a certain extent without taking the environment into account, but more and more great efforts can be seen in very unexpected places and the sincere will to improve the world is important.
Timbeco gained a great deal of knowledge from the Green Tiger program, but a lot of work on Timbeco's long green innovation plan is yet to come. #environment #greenbuilding #timbeco #innovation
One might think that Iceland is a small country and there is not much potential in housing construction, but looking at the need for new housing in Iceland, it is a very attractive and growing market.
The Timbeco team visited Iceland to learn more about our partner Hrafnshóll's team, needs and capabilities to ensure more effective cooperation in the preparation and implementation phases of projects in the future. #prefab #prefabhouse #island #timbeco
Timbeco's factory expansion and storage area will soon be completed. This makes production and loading processes even more efficient. #prefab #modularconstruction #construction #factory #timbeco
Last Friday we went through various enduro tracks and hiking trails in Pärnu County on enduro motorcycles, electric bicycles and on foot. All activities in the landscape were organized by @adventures.ee Although the weather was rainy, it was an adventurous day for everyone. #teambuilding #hikingadventures #adventures
Yesterday, the Estonian Association of Apartment Associations visited Saue, Kuuma 4 apartment building to see the complete renovation solution. There are a total of about 14,000 apartment buildings in need of renovation in Estonia. About 3,000 of them have been renovated in the last 30 years. If we continue at the same pace, it will take more than 100 years to renovate all these apartment buildings. Factory-produced wall elements could significantly speed up this process. #Drive0 #building #circularrenovation " #circulareconomy #timbeco
Last week, organizations that joined the Drive 0 project visited the Timbeco prefab factory and the Kuuma 4 construction site.
The purpose of the visit was to share information about the status of Drive0 projects and problems that have arisen. The meetings provided an exchange of views and ideas on how to deal with the challenges.
The main topics focused on were:
– Technical solutions
– BIM readiness and use
– Implementing the circular economy in the business model
– Recognition of solutions and sharing of information
Visits to the Timbeco plant and site went well. Technical solutions and architectural appearance were acknowledged for the Kuuma 4 objects. The feedback from one Spanish architect was that she particularly liked that it was not visually clear that the house was a factory house.
Timbeco and TalTech were recognized for their very good capabilities and solutions, and for their ambitions and, in some ways, pioneering plans for other companies. Many thanks to Eero and Targo. #construction #circulareconomy #prefab #projects #bim #timbeco #drive0
Timbeco's design team visited the SIGA factory in Switzerland. During the visit, we completed a short training on the airtightness of the buildings and a #tps (Toyota Production System) workshop.
The SIGA factory was founded in 1966 by Paul and Trudy Sieber-Gadient. However, their sons Reto and Marco Sieber have grown the company into an internationally renowned group. Today, the third generation of the family continues to run the company and carry the company's values.
SIGA tapes are known in the construction industry for their wide product range and high quality. Today, Timbeco uses exclusively SIGA tapes to produce energy-efficient prefabricated houses and wooden elements. The main reason is the tested quality, which ensures that the tapes will work for years to come. #team #design #training #energy #constructionindustry #siga #sigatapes #timbeco
